Rain, Rain & More Rain . . .

Sydney today has been pelted with uninterrupted rain . . . great day to catch up with a few inside jobs, especially sewing, of course!!!  At least my front verandah is getting some well deserved rain.

Hope you are also enjoying your day, wherever and whatever you might be doing . . . until next time, Suzi

Quilters cats

Sorting out my "stash" of goodies over weekend and came across this great little piece which I bought years ago for the great price of $1.50 . .  will add this to my canvas board projects.

My beautiful Aleks will be thrilled to see this finished.

Until next time, Suzi

Ho Ho Ho Santa

Also couldn't resist weekend project from Hatched and Patched.

My Town BOM

Hi there - just had to get started on the wonderful My Town BOM's. I am a late starter in this project and had to order the past six copies of Homespun magazine to try and catch up.

So amongst other things I have finally attempted the Post Office and My Quilt Shop. I have learnt a few things not to do next time . . . like leave the hand stitching until the last after placement and sewing . . . just can't stitch through so many layers. I have started to unpick part of hand sewing on the post office, more to do!

Happy sewing, Suzi

Canvas Boards

I have finally discovered canvas boards and I am finding all sorts of things to put on them . . . just a couple of items - fabric by Alexander Henry and a picture board from one of our Japan vacations.

Let me know some of your ideas for canvas boards.

Have a great day, Suzi

Paris Storage Box

I just had to have one of these for all of my "goodies" - don't you just love the size . . . they come small to quite large and this one retails for $14.

Xmas Quilt

Some months ago I "re-discovered" Australian Homespun magazine and of course I have caught the "bug" again haven't I!  One can't have too many irons in the fire I say.

I just loved the Natalie Bird of The Birdhouse Merry And Bright Project . . . so I just had to show you my progress.

UFO: Vintage Treasures

Had a bit of a clean up over weekend and found this UFO I commenced many years ago from Rose Patchwork Cottage. Mini quilt designed and created by Libby Richardson. My version is underneath - don't you just love the pegs to hold in place until I get to sew onto hanger! I hope it's not another few years before I do that!! This was purchased as a kit and had everything I needed.
