My Day Off . . .

What a beautiful sunny day here in Sydney to have the day off - and to do some catch up on some chores and finally step into the sewing room.

The day started off with trying to clip the feathers around the Silkie's eyes while she was on the nest - to no avail. This job is definitely for two people, so will try again on the weekend.

Next was a trip to my local quilting store The Cottage Quiltworks to pick up a book I had ordered titled "The right handed embroider's companion".  This is a must for those who like to try their hand at embroidery.  It has over 170 embroidery stitches including their variations and also has counted thread stitches.  Excuse the pics being a little reflective!

Well I am off to the sewing room now!
