Rosalie Quinlan: Hope, Love & Friendship

Well, I just couldn't wait to start on this gorgeous stitchery by Rosalie Quinlan. I am stitching this for a work colleague whose wife has breast cancer. I am sure it will let her know people are thinking of her.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Cosmo threads and the handkerchief linen.  Will show you the end result hopefully very soon.

Until next time, enjoy whatever you are doing . . . Suzi

Sew Love Laugh kit

Thanks to Sandy at Cookies and Cream Craft on-line I have received today my "sew laugh love" kit which includes the screen-printed design on white hanky linen and the beautiful Cosmo threads. I can't wait to "get into it", but I will have to put aside and finish off a couple of other projects first!!!  I am presently doing the Leanne Beasley project "blossom" which appeared in the latest Vignette magazine. Will post some pics as I progress!  Enjoy your day whatever you are doing . . . Suzi

Sue Daley "Fussy Cut Club" BOM

I couldn't resist joining up to the Sue Daley BOM "This Goes With That". It is such a great way of learning English paper piecing. Included in the club are all the papers, acrylic templates, fabrics and bottom line thread.
The first month was making hexagons - which I am addicted to making! and the second month introduces parallelograms - six pointed stars.
Will keep you posted . . . Suzi

SKoW - Stitch-a-Long

I have my Anni Down's "Some Kind of Wonderful" book and her fabric range for this fabulous "My Favourite Things" quilt and just can't wait to commence.  I have registered for the "stitch-a-long" and am really hoping that I can become a member - fingers crossed that there are enough spaces available and I can join in the fun!  If not, I will be there in spirit with many like-minded people.
Until next time, Suzi

Cherry blossom time

Hi there . . . spring time again and those beautiful cherry blossom flowers have appeared on our tree. It is just a shame that they aren't out for a lot longer.  Hope you enjoy the pics. Until next time . . . Suzi

Work In Progress: Tennessee Waltz Quilt

I have been working on this project for a while now . . . this is a another kit from Rose Patchwork Cottage and every now and then I drag it out and do a few more ladies dresses or panels. It is one of those great sewing projects using the various fabric choices and like all quilting, just watching it grow into that beautiful end result is so pleasurable - as I am sure you all know!
Until next time . . . Suzi
The fabric selection is wonderful . . .
This is what it will look like when finished!
Yet to do freehand quilting . . .

Narrabeen Lake Walking Track

Took ourselves off this morning to do part of the new walk just opened at Narrabeen Lakes. We have been watching this track being built now for a good twelve months and it was just so great to finally get our feet onto it!

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Crazy Quilting

Well, I am slowly getting to the end of my "crazy quilting" projects! I have finished the shoez bag and shoez stuffers and well on the way to completing the hatz. These designs and fabrics are by Jan Mullens of Stargazey Quilts, WA.  I have added lavender to the stuffers.

I have had a lot of fun doing these - is there anyone else out there doing
crazy quilting?

Welcome Aboard - My Day Time Job!

Hi folks, thought you might like to see what my job is . . . I am a bus driver in the wonderful city of Sydney.  Yesterday I was down at Milsons Point, so just had to take some pics to show you.

I mostly drive from Palm Beach (northern suburbs) through to the city daily. We have some fabulous beaches along the route. If ever you are in Sydney I recommend you take the L90 from the city to Palm Beach - it takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Enjoy!  Until next time . . . Suzi

Baby Cockatiels

These are my three new baby cockatiels which are hand reared. They were born early August and are just the cheekiest little fellows! We are having a lot of fun training them and thank goodness they are over the mushie food stage!

Mon Ami

I just couldn't help myself!!! . . . have been admiring for some time this beautiful quilt called Mon Ami - I needed an excuse to fill up my Paris storage/hat box!

This is a BOM from Rose Patchwork Cottage.  The fabrics chosen are gorgeous and I have put aside (for now) until I catch up with a few other things.

Hope you are having a great day . . . until next time, Suzi

Cookies & Cream Craft

Just wanted to tell you about the wonderful Cookies & Cream Craft . . . I discovered Sandy and her fabulous on-line business when I found that I didn't have the time to buzz all over Sydney looking for items and as a shift worker knowing that Sandy is there is just great! Items ordered arrive promptly which I just love!

I have been able to purchase the Sewline glue pens (for those wonderful hexagons); subscribe to Vignette magazine; purchase favourite patterns and fabrics and I love the "coming soon" area - I can see in advance what I want and just order it.

I noticed last week on Leanne Beasley's blog that she was releasing "Sew Laugh Love" as a kit and I was just hoping that I could get my hands on it . . . I didn't have to worry, Sandy's regular email advising of what's coming soon had the pattern/kit advertised - what a relief I thought - I don't have to miss out!

Sandy has been my greatest help in becoming a "blogger" - I just didn't quite know where to start and again, Sandy gave me some great advice and her time

Thanks heaps Sandy from one very happy customer and new blogger.

Some "goodies"

. . . and just a few more
