Blue Mountains Retreat 2012 - Snowed In . . .

Well I gave it my best shot to get to the Blue Mountains this morning . . . I called it quits when the RTA signs said road closed at Lawson and also Bells Line of Road due to black ice and snow.

That was enough for me to turn around and head home to a very relieved DH.

I received the above pic from Karen of The Stitching Post, Katoomba - as she said it was 30 degrees last Friday and today 2 inches of snow has fallen - what can one make of this weather.

So tomorrow morning very early I am attempting to drive up again - I am able to check into my accommodation just in time for breakfast and then off to the quilting retreat.

Tomorrow's forecast is for a little rain with some sun - no snow forecast (at this stage!!).
